Sex Education is one of the most important subjects in high school educational system. Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio’s research indicates that children have a lot of change in the age from 14 to 16 and most of them are not getting medically accurate, age-appropriate sexuality education to prepare them for this important and potentially life-altering decision. In addition, sex education is a quite sensitive issue in developing countries and teachers hard to teach. Therefore, it is the reason leading to develop Sex Education project.

Sex education software has three main functionalities. Firstly, it provides general information about the human body to help students not only take care of themselves better but also understand their body’s changes. In the age from 14 to 16, the body of boys and girls has physical growth and development (Camper Development Section 5, page 1). For example, the tone of boy’s voice will be lower while tone of girl’s voice will be higher. Moreover, the surface will secret more mucus that leads to the appearance of acne. Students usually find information by themselves because they feel hard to tell all to their parents and students could be poisoned by wrong information on the Internet. Therefore, students must know this basic information to easily identify the changes of their body in order to not worry about the changes of their body.

Information about sexually transmitted infections (SDIs) is required functionality in this software. According to National Health Statistic Reports, “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that about 19 million new cases of STIs occur each year. About one-half of all STIs occur among persons aged 15–24, and the largest numbers of reported cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea were among teenagers aged 15–19” (NHSR, page 1). This is an alarming situation. “Between 12 and 15, shift from emphasis on same sex to opposite sex” (Camper Development Section 5). In addition, minors are very curious and they always want to explore all the problems. However, due to some of traditional thinking that teacher could not provide enough necessary knowledge and answer all questions they asked. They cannot recognize in a holistic way and protect themselves against dangers stemming from a simple issue, sex. Therefore, that is the reason why 27% of boys aged 15 and 23% of girls aged 15 have ever had sex with an opposite-sex partner (NHSR, page 9). On the other hand, “the new Guttmacher report rounds out the picture: in 2006, there were 71.5 pregnancies for every 1,000 women under the age of 20” (time.com, line 9). Most of teen girls choose abortion because they felt ashamed with their friends and it causes terrible consequences such as: azoic, infections… Consequently, minors should be provided adequate, accurate, truthful knowledge in order to limit the rate of abortion and sexually transmitted infections (SDIs) increasing.

Other functionalities included in first functionality are: Articles, Blog, and Birth control. Firstly, articles posted on the program are written by experts. The articles appear on web permit the users view directly and if they want to save and review in other time, the system will save this file to PDF format. Secondly, this project provided blog functionality to users and experts, it helps every user linked inextricably and let talk up their own comments on games or product or their experiences and they can share their comment on social network. Lastly, the information in Birth control function will discuss reproductive health. We will provide some information about the ways of contraception such as how to use condom, how to calculate ovulation date...and birth plan. It’s written by experts.

Second main functionality is game. It’s including puzzle and quiz in game flash. It’s not only help student remember studied knowledge but also help student interested in study sex education subject by funny photos, practical examples, questions that student could not ask to anybody. Sex education books are just the lessons and words on it are tending to education, deterrence. This not the negative comments, but It actually doesn’t make kids feel exciting and enjoy the lessons. Books do not answer questions in real case, the descriptions in the 3D format are better for understanding, or practical test exercises close to life.

Finally, “Ask the Experts” feature is the last functionality in Sex Education Software. The information contained in the software will definitely not enough and do not satisfy the curiosity of the students. Software provides only the basic information and it cannot answer all questions because each student has different problems. Therefore, the "Ask the Experts" is the best place not only answers all the questions of privacy but also helps students reduce psychological pressure because of the various problems in life. With the popularity of wireless connections, student can easily submit questions by filling information in an online form and get answers as soon as possible via email that student afraid to confusing to others.

Nowadays, Information Technology is developing strongly, especially information technology on portable devices such as: Android, iOS, Windows Phone. According to Pew Internet & American Life Project, “Among 12-13 year olds, 52% had a cell phone in 2008. Mobile phone ownership jumped to 72% at age 14 in that survey, and by the age of 17 more than eight in ten teens (84%) had their own cell phone” (PIP Teens and Mobile Phones Data Memo, page 5). Study on portable Android devices brings a lot of benefits. For example, student can study on portable devices anywhere, anytime if necessary. In developing countries, most of students felt uncomfortable when they study sex education at school with other classmates. They cannot ask questions because of shyness.

“Nearly 50% mobile operating system in Europe is Android” (Tech Europe – blogs.wsj.com), so students’ parents have many choices with many suppliers in order to buy an Android smartphone for them. Moreover, between 14 and 16, they usually “concern about physical appearance” (Camper Development Section 5). Therefore, Android smartphones have a lot of models and it’s not expensive too. For example, there are many suppliers produce Android devices such as: Google, Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, etc… According to current statistics, average display screen of Android devices is between 3.5 and 5.5 inches with smartphone and between 7 and 13.3 inches with tablet. On the other hand, most of Android device products of Google, Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC has updated Android version 4.x. Thus, all Android device products are updated Android 4.x version by any supplier could be able to run Sex Education Software. Last, the most important technical requirement of system is flash. Without flash on portable Android device, student cannot play quiz game – the most attractive part in sex education software.

In conclusion, sex education software would be a good “teacher” with an amount of clear, exact, complete, honest, highly educational knowledge. It will also be a psychologist to help student understanding any small problems with practical examples. Study will be easier on portable Android device because it includes all factors attract teenager: not too expensive, beautiful models and support all technical requirements of sex education software.

                Game Description

Game is one of most important functionality in Sex Education Software. In this software, there are two types of game: Puzzle and quiz game. In each game section, there are two games: Hangman, crossword in Puzzle game and formal quizzes, “Adventure in Sex City” in Quiz game.

Firstly, the hangman is a game that requires player to guess the word. The game will give the number of characters and the player guess letters in one time. If the player guesses exactly one character, they will reward money corresponding to the score achieved. If the player guesses wrong one character, the hangman character will hang up. The player can only be guessing wrong up to five times. After five times wrong, game is over.

Secondly, the crossword is one of the most popular games in the world. It not only helps player review the knowledge they’ve learned but also helps player to learn new knowledge. In this software, crossword game will offer 18 crosswords: 9 horizontal rows and 9 vertical rows. The crosswords are all closely related to each other. If the player answers correctly 18 crosswords, they will be the winner.

Thirdly, formal quiz has 10 questions. Each question has many different answers; player has to choose one correct answer. If player answers correct one question, they will have one point. Otherwise, the will have 0 point. After all 10 questions, software will calculate total point for player and software also gives useful comments to player.

Finally, “Adventure in sex city” is the most interesting game in this software. In each stage, player has to choose one character to compete with NPC character. NPC character will give yes/no question to player. If player answers correct one question, player’s character will bite NPC character and NPC character’s health bar will be decreased. Otherwise, NPC character will bite player’s character and player’s character health bar will be decreased. The game is over when player’s character health bar is Zero. After all questions, a small information screen will appear.
